The youth at Saint Dunstan’s remain busy year-round, and this winter is no exception. Saint Dunstan’s had five young women (and two slightly less young women) participate in the Junior Daughters of the King Retreat at Camp Allen the weekend of January 17-19. There was a scavenger hunt, crafts, games, devotionals, skits, snacks, and much more! We were blessed to have our very own Debbie Johnson come speak to all the girls about the wonderful work that Hope Center is doing right here in our community. I don’t know about the girls, but I was worn out at the end of the weekend.
We will hold a confirmation class on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 PM via zoom beginning February 5 and ending on April 9 - covering My Faith, My Life: A Teen’s Guide to the Episcopal Church. If you, or your child, or your grandchild is 14 years old or older, baptized, and interested in participating, please email and let me know. There are copies of the book in Youth Room 2 of the Bentley Education Center. Please feel free to pick one up.
Our February Youth Social Event will be going to see our very own Emily Yonan perform in the Klein Cain production of Anything Goes on February 1 at 7:00 PM . If you would like to attend, please meet us there!
We are preparing for the upcoming Youth Stockholder Dinner. We are excited to welcome those of you who donated during last year’s sale to join us in the Price Fellowship Hall on February 22 for a fiesta of epic proportions (not to oversell it or anything). You should be receiving your super cute invitations soon (created by the youth program’s very own graphic designer, Dr. Misty Schattle), so please keep an eye out. Just like in past years, the food will be prepared and served by the youth and volunteers. We will kick-off our 2025 Youth Stock Sale at that event, raising money to send the youth to Camp Eagle.
We continue to have weekly Sunday School during the 10:15 hour and Youth Group on Sundays at 6:00 PM.
Please continue to remember the youth in your prayers.
Sandy
