2025 Finance Updates

2025 Finance Updates

by Manette Maddox on October 15, 2025

St. Dunstan’s has been through many changes from a financial perspective over the past few months and this blog will attempt to answer questions and to dispel confusion about those changes.

1. Where are the personalized donation envelopes?

This is one of the most frequent questions that I get! Due to the cost of printing those envelopes and the increase in online giving, we decided to stop having those personalized envelopes sent out. There are now envelopes in each pew that may be used to enclose your donation. Whether donating by cash or check, the only thing required for your donation to be recorded properly is that your name and the purpose of the donation be documented on the outside of the envelope.

2. Now that online giving is available, how do I set up my donation?

St. Dunstan’s new giving page is the best way to set up on-line donations!  The new giving page offers you a choice of using your debit/credit card or your bank account to pay your donation regardless of purpose. You may also designate whether your donation is recurring or a one-time gift. If you have created a giving account, you may also sign in and see your on-line donation activity from May 1st to the present date. If you would like to see all of your giving at any point in the year, please contact me ( ) and I will send you a year-to-date statement. Year-to-date giving statements will also be sent via email at mid-year and at the end of the year. All on-line payments for the 2025 In His Steps campaign will stop on 12/31/2025. If you wish to continue paying your pledge online in 2026, you must set up your payment information anew.

3. How will pledges for 2026 In His Steps be collected?

This year pledges may be set up on-line and/or by physical pledge card. If you do both, we promise we will not double your pledge! The advantage of pledging on-line is that you can set up your on-line payment at the same time. Beginning January 1, 2026, the office will no longer be processing credit card transactions. If you want to pay by credit card in 2026, you must enter your payment information online. The main reasons for this change are protection of your personal information and streamlining of St. D’s back-office processes. The new software that we began using in May enables encryption of your personal information and records giving transactions to your account automatically.

It is an honor and a privilege to see the faithful giving of this congregation. Thank you for your joyful commitments of your time, talents and treasures!

Faithfully,

Manette
