Looking Ahead: Summer 2024

Looking Ahead: Summer 2024

by Sandy Jones on September 06, 2023

Planning for Summer 2024 has begun and booking at Camp Eagle opens in September. I am looking forward to booking Camp Eagle (for current 5-8th graders) and a Mission Trip to Bayou La Batre, Alabama (current 9-12th graders). In order for me to book these experiences, I need to know who is planning to participate so I am sure to reserve enough slots. As soon as I have dates, I will get those to youth, families, and any volunteers interested in participating.

Please click here and fill out this Google Form letting me know if you will be coming along with me on these summer adventures. As always, the more the merrier.

If any parents/guardians or other youth stakeholders are interested in chaperoning one (or both) of these trips, please either complete the above Google Form or email me at .

Also, please remember that Youth Sunday School and Youth Group resume on 9/10/23. We hope all 6-12 graders can join us for Sunday School at 10:15 AM in the youth rooms. We also hope all youth, children’s choir participants, their families, and youth volunteers can join us at 6:00 PM in the Parish Hall for a potluck and stick around for a family kickball game. Be sure to bring a dish to share, your running shoes, water, and dress for warm weather.

We will have our first fundraiser for youth summer trips in October. We will be having a garage sale on October 21, so please start setting items aside that you can donate to help our youth earn money toward the cost of their summer adventures.

Today’s prayer comes from GarmentsOfSpeldor.com:

Lord, we lift up our teens to You in prayer. Strengthen their faith each day. May they not waver on the waves of doubt and uncertainty, but know with confidence that You are with them. Help them to diligently spend time in Your Word, seeking Your face for direction and guidance. May their faith grow each day as they trust in You.

Amen.
