PARKING FOR GUESTS: The event is located in the back parking lot and field behind the church. There is plenty of parking in the parking lot on the northside of the church off of Stuebner Airline & Cashel Drive (near Heiden Feed Store). Additionally there is a smaller parking lot off of Stuebner Airline (near the lighting store). Parking Attendants will be available as well to help direct you safely.
RESTROOMS: Located inside the Bentley Education Building. Enter through the walkway doors between the two playgrounds. These doors will be the only doors unlocked.
FIRST AID: A First Aid station will be located near the porte-cochere (covered driveway) by the northside of the Bentley Education Building. You can also come to the Information/Welcome Desk for any assistance.

Prayer Booth for those seeking confidential prayer
Voting: Guests rotate through several tents to sample bites of BBQ. (Similar to a chili cookoff.) Guests vote for their favorite food by placing their ticket(s) in the team’s bucket. There will also be Official judges, who receive extra tickets (so their votes count a little more).

If you are volunteering, Thank you!!! Your volunteer position may have changed. This is our first time with this event and we are still learning. When you arrive, please check-in at the welcome table ten minutes before the event begins. We will answer any questions you may have about the day.

UPDATE: 4.21.2022 - All food must be cooked onsite.
VOLUNTEER ON A Cook-Off TEAM: Each tent consists of a team of people. Each team must pay for/provide the following: own food, way to prepare food, cooking supplies, utensils, and equipment, pop-up tent, chairs, tables, prep area, etc., and first aid kit. Decorations and yard games (optional) If you need electricity, you will need to bring a generator there are no electrical outlets available.
The categories for cooking: chicken, beef, pork, and other (any grilled item/food - does not have to be smoked). Each team is encouraged to provide 150 samples (bite size) of per entry. ALL FOOD MUST BE COOKED ON-SITE.
Parking for Volunteers: The lighting store next to the church has given us permission to park in their lot during this event. We will be using the back parking lot to cook and serve. Please consider freeing up space for our guests by parking by the lighting store and walking over if you are physically able to. There will be designated loading and unloading areas.
Set Up: BBQ Teams can set up as early as 5:30am (ready to serve by 11:30am)
9:00am - Roll Call: all Teams must be present and set up
9:30am - Safety Meeting led by Arden Renze, Jr. Warden
2:00pm - Judging ends from all guests and official judges
2:30pm - Recognition/Awards will be announced

Volunteers need for Set Up, Clean Up, Building Monitors, Parking Lot Monitor, and First Aid Tent (prefer medical or CPR certified).
